Mapiz was founded in 2009 and has quickly grown into a team of dedicated individuals. MAPIZ is a location-based gaming and customized information service that exploits users’ mobility to turn everyday spaces into playing fields, and lets everyday people win prizes. We facilitate social communications and interactions, while blending our real lives with Mapiz’s virtual world. Mapiz partners with Pier 39 of San Francisco, Blue & Gold Fleet of San Francisco, and the Tandem Properties of Davis to attract more people to physically visit the places and engage with their visitors.
